The Oval was absolutely buzzing on Sunday 9th August as Classics at The Oval returned to the lawns, in partnership with the Ramsgate Old Motor & Motorcycle Club, alongside a fantastic afternoon of live music from Taking Care of Vegas at The Oval Bandstand.
The lawns were filled with an incredible collection of classic and vintage cars and motorcycles, bringing enthusiasts, families, visitors and our local community together for a day by the sea in Cliftonville.
Then, as the afternoon got into full swing, Taking Care of Vegas took to the Bandstand and delivered a brilliant live performance to a packed Oval. With the music playing, the lawns full of classic vehicles and hundreds of people enjoying the atmosphere, it was one of those days that perfectly captured what The Oval is all about.
Five Years of Community at The Oval
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported us.
Over the past five years, your continued support has helped The Oval flourish into something really special. Together, we have created a place for live music, community events, theatre, cinema, wellbeing, family activities and memorable experiences – but, most importantly, a place that brings people together.
Every ticket bought, every event attended, every social media post shared and every person who tells someone else about The Oval helps us continue what we do.
As a community not-for-profit organisation, that support genuinely matters.
Capturing What Makes The Oval Special
We were also delighted to have Tom Rowland Studio with us to capture the day on film.
The classic vehicles and the Bandstand provide a fantastic backdrop, but the film captures something even more important: the people.
The conversations, the dancing, the smiles, friends meeting friends and people simply enjoying an afternoon together are what give The Oval its atmosphere.
Buildings and spaces can provide the setting, but it is people who bring them to life.
That is what makes The Oval special.
