Sand Art Outdoors at The Oval – Calm Creative Play by the Sea

Join us at The Oval Bandstand & Lawns in Margate for a relaxed outdoor Sand Art session designed especially for children who enjoy calm, focused creativity.

Sand art is a gentle, hands-on activity where children sprinkle and layer colourful sand to create a picture or bottle to take home as a keepsake. It’s simple, absorbing and wonderfully satisfying.

This session is especially lovely for children who enjoy:

• predictable, step-by-step activities

If your child prefers calm creativity over loud or high-energy activities, this is for them.

This is a FREE but ticketed event, with limited places available, when the tickets are gone the event is sold out!

Booking in advance is essential to secure your child’s space.

If you’re able to, we’ll be collecting optional donations on the day (pay what you can). Contributions help us programme more children’s activities and family events at The Oval.

Food, tea, coffee and refreshments will be available from The Oval café and concessions.

Doors, toilets and concessions open: from 12
Session time: 1pm – 2pm

All persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
A fully licensed bar and food are available (no alcohol or food to be brought into the venue; bag searches may be in operation).
Fully accessible toilet facilities are available.
All seating areas have step-free access.
There is no car parking at the venue; please use public transport, bicycles, or arrive on foot. Limited local parking may be available and charges may apply.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times within the bandstand auditorium.
